If a man telleth a falsehood, and the city taketh it as fair.

How canst thow maketh strife with a man who speaketh true.

For it is not to the gain of his own countenance that he doth so, but for the spirit that dwellth within him.

For the man that causeth the city to err by his falsehoods love not the city, but hateth the city and abuseth it as he please.

Thus the city hateth him who love them, and loveth him who hate them.
